There is a growing awareness of the health risks associated with ionizing radiation on patients. This results in a recognized need for more systematic and easy to use dose monitoring systems.
DoseVue is developing a in-vivo dosimetry system, DoseWire, to support optimal use of radiation, by means of systematic and accurate dose monitoring. Their system has three functionalities; check of dose given to patients, early identification of potential errors during treatment and optimization of the amount of radiation. The first prototype will be tested in a university clinic in 2016. DoseVue is already in discussion with key opinion leaders for further testing.
